Blue-Eco Filtration is proud to be the United States’s distributor of Blue-Eco’s pumps and filters.  These products were developed with the goal of creating the most energy efficient, environmentally friendly and effective method for the filtration of pool and pond water. 

Through a collaboration of filtration experts in the Netherlands, Germany, Britain and the United States, engineers in fluid mechanics from the University of Amsterdam, Royal Dutch Phillips Company designers and engineers at Tsinghua University of China Shenzhen Institute, the technology for the Blue-Eco pumps and filters was created.

Since their introduction in 2010, Blue-Eco pumps have become the top selling brand of pump in Europe.  This rapid rise is due to their remarkably low power consumption and durability.  All Blue Eco pumps are both water and saltwater proof. 

Each pump consists of a controller and pump head.  There are various models available, including a 240 watt, 320 watt, 500 watt, 900 watt and 1500 watt units. The controller displays power consumption, amperage and RPM and a vast number of messages to indicate problems, etc. The controller has 4 optional timer programs that can control the pump capacity and duration up to 5 times per day.  There’s also a cruise control option and automatic protection against damage due to dry running.

A Blue Eco pump can pay for itself within one year based upon its consumption of less energy than other pumps.

Blue-Eco has also developed the the first rotary drum filter that’s powered by water which it aptly refers to as a Hydro-Driven Drum Filter (“HDDF”). Rotary drum filters (“RDFs”) are a type of mechanical filter that remove debris, waste and other particulates from water.

Rotary drum filters offer unparalleled filtering of pools and ponds by their automatic and near instantaneous removal of waste from the water column. The Blue-Eco HDDF takes RDF filtering to a totally new level of efficiency and reliability by doing away with the motors, water sensors, water spray pumps and electrical controllers that are required by existing rotary drum filters.

For pond enthusiasts and aquaculture, Blue-Eco offers a fully automated bead filter. The Blue Eco Bubble Bead Filter provides excellent bio-filtration and clarification of water inhabited by koi and other fish. What separates Blue-Eco’s bead filters from existing bead filters is its patented design and automated low water loss backwashing feature.  

The Blue-Eco Bubble Bead Filter’s hourglass shape, air intake port and check valves create a vigorous backwash without the assistance of blowers or high-pressure water pumps. Unlike existing bead filters, the Blue-Eco Bubble Bead Filter is configured to operate with a de minimis head loss which saves money by allowing the use of less energy demanding pumps. Most importantly, the Blue-Eco Bubble Bead Filter’s backwash is fully automatic which ensures against bead fowling while maximizing bio-filtration activity.
